I did this piece at the request of my sister. This was done on 14ct Aida using 2 strands of floss. Seeing how well it turned out and I love this verse, I decided to do another one, but on 22-ct over 4 squares and using 3 strands of floss instead. And the results is ......... YUCKY!
After so much stitching on this piece, enough is enough. I had better discard it instead of continuing with it. The stitching is HORRID!
Lessons learnt :-
- When using 3 strands of floss, it's best to clip the fabric to a frame or hoop. This will help correct the tension.
- Use a slightly lighter coloured fabric when the floss is yellow.
- Give up the stitching earlier instead of waiting till much has been done.
Let's hope my next duplicate piece will be better. I'm doing another 3 of this - 2 for Billie's teachers and 1 for my another sister.
