Cross Stitch Piece Framing Process

Finally got round to framing this John 7:7 piece. I use a blue Ikea frame for this piece.

I found a piece of cardboard, trim it to a size slightly smaller than the window. Then I pasted a piece of white acid-free paper over the cardboard. I then positioned the cross stitch piece on the cardboard and went on to lace the top and bottom edges together, followed by the side edges. This is the result.

As I lace it, I make it a point to pull the thread tightly and this results in a beautiful front where you don't see any crease.
